ABOUT THE VENUE

Evans Lake is a beautiful, cozy retreat that spends much of the year as a summer camp for kids. We are ecstatic to have Evans Lake as the venue for our wedding. The ceremony will be held in a small, natural amphitheater, tucked into a mossy-green grove of old growth cedars. Towering over the camp is the snowcapped Tantalus Mountain range.
Parking:
The venue has limited parking, so carpooling is strongly encouraged.
WiFi and cell reception:
Evans Lake is a great place to unplug and disconnect for the weekend. Cell reception is spotty at best, and there is no WiFi. If you need to contact someone, cell reception and WiFi are available at Fergie’s Cafe, just a 5-minute drive from Evans Lake. Otherwise, be sure to send your important emails beforehand so you can enjoy being disconnected!
Food:
Saturday formal dinner and Sunday brunch will be provided for all guests. Those invited early for the Friday rehearsal will also be provided dinner on Friday, as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturday. You will be able to select meal options at a later date. If you bring snacks, please leave your nuts at home as this is a nut-free venue. Please also pack snacks in tight Tupperware containers so you don’t end up sharing your snacks with critters!
Dress Code:
Ceremony / dinner: summer semi-formal (high heels not recommended)
The rest of the weekend: comfortable clothing for the outdoors. Please note it can get chilly in the evenings!
Activities at Evans Lake
The venue has a private lake for swimming, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding, available to all guests at no cost. Once liquor is served in the evenings, guests will not be permitted to partake in lake activities. Please be advised that there will be no lifeguard on duty.
